I developed this page because my son felt like he had to stay in a certain area of the soccer pitch all the time. This tool shows him how to move around in different scenarios.

It has a few functions:

• You can select a few positions on the field. Your team is the blue team, and you’ll see one dot is bigger than the others once the app starts. That’s you! You’ll also see a “fixed” rectangle on the pitch in yellow, which is where you might feel you need to stay.

• You can run a demo for attaching and defending. The ball will move around the pitch. Notice how you don’t always stay in that rectangle. You need to move into different places depending on what’s happening.

• You can run a quiz, which is where the app will say “The ball is over here. Where should you be?” and you can click a spot on the pitch.

• You can also select different scenarios, like a corner, or a goal kick, or whatever else.

It’s not perfect, it’s just a start. I’m very open to any feedback!
